‘Aaj haar jana please Hardik’ – Fans react as Hardik Pandya says one needs to be ‘devil’ to hate his ‘dear brother’
Gujarat Titans (GT) Hardik Pandya and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) MS Dhoni will go head-to-head against each other in Qualifier 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK have made it to the playoffs whopping 12 times in IPL history in their 14 seasons. When we talk about the Gujarat Titans, they have made it to the playoffs twice in their two seasons. It will be the master facing off against the apprentice at the Chepauk.
Hardik Pandya talked about the relationship and camaraderie with MS Dhoni that he developed over the years. “A lot of people think Mahi is serious and all that. For me, I crack jokes and I don’t see him as a Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I have learnt a lot of things from him, a lot of positive things not just while watching him, not even much talking,” Pandya said as quoted by News 18.

“For me, he’s just my dear brother, dear friend who I do pranks with, who I chill out with. I will always be a Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan. You need to be a proper devil to hate him,” Pandya added. GT have been bossing the 2023 in grand style. They finished the league stage at the top of the table with 20 points in the kitty. GT have won ten games and lost four. On the other hand Chennai Super Kings have won eight games and lost five. They finished second on the points table with 17 points.
If we look at the head-to-head between CSK and GT, They have dominated CSK thrice in three games. It is also interesting to note that GT have never played a game at the Chepauk so far in two seasons. The home crowd at the Chepauk will go berserk as MS Dhoni will play a home game and that could also be his last if CSK lose the match against GT and then bottle up of the eliminator. Pandya will look to defend his 2022 title as GT will hope to repeat history once again.
