‘Aag laga denge’- Fans react as star performers ready to set World Cup 2023 opening ceremony on fire

The ODI World Cup 2023 will be solely hosted by India between October 5 and November 19.

The World Cup is nearing with just three days left for the mega event to start. On Thursday with a repeat of the 2019 WC final, England will be facing New Zealand. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. There will be a grand opening ceremony on Oct 4 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Oct 4 will be Captains’ Day and it will be followed by the grand show at 7 PM IST.

Some of the renowned Bollywood stars including Ranveer Singh, renowned singers Shreyas Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, and veteran legendary singer Asha Bhosle will perform in the World Cup opening ceremony. The decision ensures that the fireworks and laser show can be enjoyed under the cover of darkness. The Cricket Governing Body and Indian Cricket Board have invited top officials from cricket boards around the world, making this opening ceremony a grand success.

Most of the skippers of the respective sides will arrive on October 3. As there are three warm-up matches scheduled on the 3rd, the rest will arrive on October 4. The game is all set to begin with a bang, promising a thrilling tournament ahead. The stars performing at the opening ceremony have been finalized. Ranveer Singh, who was also seen during the WC anthem, is set to perform in the opening ceremony as well.

Stars to set World Cup opening ceremony on fire 

Apart from Ranveer, Asha Bhosale, Shankar Mahadevan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Varun Dhawan, Asha Bhosle, and Tamannaah Bhatia are ready to set the stage on fire in the grand opening ceremony. Since the WC matches will begin at 2 PM IST. The Indian Cricket Board does not have ample time for the opening ceremony on October 5. Not only that, but they have also planned a laser show on the 4th evening as the fireworks and laser show won’t be able to take place in daylight.

Fans who have opening game tickets for England vs New Zealand can attend the opening ceremony as well. India will play their opener against Australia on October 8.
