Throwback Story – When Sidharth Shukla revealed the hardest part of in Bigg Boss was being away from mother!

Late actor Sidharth Shukla rose to prominence after appearing on Bigg Boss 13 in 2019. The actor went on to win the show. Today would have been Sidharth’s 43rd birthday. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, he discussed his relationship with his mother, Rita Shukla. He had previously stated that missing her while filming Bigg Boss was “the toughest part of the show.”

Sidharth passed away on September 2, 2021. On the same day, Humans of Bombay shared a post with his photos in which the late actor discussed his relationship with his mother. He wrote, “I didn’t speak to her for months. I know it doesn’t sound very cool to say this at 39, but being apart from her was the most difficult part of the show. So when I got a letter from her on set, I sat down and read it in her voice–it felt like she was right next to me, and that letter was a piece of her.”

Sidharth Shukla’s relationship with his mom:

He continued, “Every time she tells me she’s proud of me, I feel like the happiest man on the planet. Because I was able to put a smile on her face; a woman who means everything to me. She’s still my anchor and never fails to give me her daily dose of advice–when I finally saw her on set after 3 long months, the first thing she told me was to stop wearing shorts all the time and put on a pair of jeans!”

Sidharth debuted on television in the show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He made his Bollywood debut as a supporting actor in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Sidharth Shukla got close to Shehnaaz Gill inside the Bigg Boss house. They never publicly acknowledged their relationship. Following Sidharth’s death, Shehnaaz released a touching music video tribute called Tu Yaheen hai. The netizens still miss the late actor. The internet is flooded with Sidharth’s fans praising and sharing notes for him.
