Football legends Thierry Henry and Micah Richards have made bold predictions regarding Manchester United’s Champions League clash with Galatasaray on November 29. Both Henry and Richards are of the opinion that the Red Devils are unlikely to secure a favorable result against the Turkish giants.

Despite Manchester United gaining momentum with a convincing 3-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League over the weekend, the duo believes that a tough challenge awaits them in the Champions League. After their Premier League encounter, Erik ten Hag’s team aims to maintain their winning streak against Galatasaray at RAMS Park, but according to Micah Richards, the former Manchester City defender, the Premier League giants may face a setback in Turkey.

“I think they will lose. I do. They are at the bottom of the group, they have not been playing well in the Champions League, it’s a tough ask to go there,” Richards said on CBS Sports.

Thierry Henry supported his viewpoint, foreseeing a challenging experience for the Red Devils.

It’s going to be a tough one because Galatasaray are doing well at the minute and have some tricky players who can hurt you. I don’t wish on United to lose like those guys over there but I think it’s going to be a tough one,” the Frenchman added.

Manchester United cannot afford a loss in Premier League

A defeat to Galatasaray would result in an early exit for Manchester United from the Champions League this season. Therefore, it is imperative for the Premier League giants to secure a victory in this crucial match to keep their qualification hopes alive. Currently, Manchester United occupies the bottom position in Group A with three points after four games, having won only one and lost three matches.

Their upcoming opponents, Galatasaray, hold the third position in the table with four points. Copenhagen is in the second spot with an equal number of points, while Bayern Munich leads the standings with 12 points. If Manchester United loses to Galatasaray, it would put the Turkish side four points ahead of them with only one game remaining, leading to the Red Devils’ elimination from the competition.
