The fixtures for the 2023 World Cup have been announced. The first game will begin on October 5. England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The big match between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place on October 15 in the same venue. When it comes to the semifinals, Mumbai and Kolkata will be hosting the games.
Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag was asked who his top four teams would be to qualify for the World Cup. He picked Australia, England, Pakistan and India. India will face Australia in their opening game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. This is the first time since 2011 that the World Cup will be hosted in India. India has hosted the World Cup four times.
Ten teams will be part of the World Cup, and a round-robin format will be followed in the tournament, where each team plays the other 9. The games will take place in 10 venues around the country. The Men in Blue will look to try and win the ODI World Cup and break the 9-year drought. India last won a World event in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. The Men in Blue could not win the 2022 T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma and also the World Test Championship (WTC) final that happened recently.
Sehwag was a part of the World Cup-winning team in 2011. India created history in front of a vociferous home crowd that saw history being created on the night of April 2, 2011. The Men in Blue have won two 50-over World Cups. The 2023 World Cup will be a hard tournament for India as other sides are used to Indian pitches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also having played many bilateral series over there.
Team India lost their last bilateral ODI series against Australia when it was played before the 2023 IPL. The Men in Blue will have their next assignment in a full-fledged tour of the West Indies, which will be played in July. The squads for the T20I series has not been announced yet.

India, Newzealand, Australia, England
Pakistan will be out in early stage, by the way we have love the BCCI supremacy over PCB as India never travel to Pakistan for any tournament but Pakis are forced to come India at any cost, really like all the drama they do before coming😂

In recent times, New Zealand doesn't get the hype from cricket experts but they somehow qualify.
