Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has been seen in Lahore riding a bulky bike. The right-handed batter tweeted the footage along with a caption. When examined closely, the bike can be identified as a 2010–2011 BMW S1000rr. Similar to Babar’s cover drive, the elegant bike is a visual pleasure.
Babar Azam, among Pakistan’s most decorated captains, is currently in good form and will represent his country in the October 2023 World Cup in India. Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet made the formal announcement, it was learned from reliable sources that the Board’s think-tank, which consists of the chairman of the Management Committee, Najam Sethi, chief selector Haroon Rashid, and director of coaching Mickey Arthur, has unanimously decided to trust Babar as the team’s captain through the 2023 World Cup. Along with serving as the team’s captain during the World Cup, he is also going to represent the nation as a whole in all competitions and series building up to the major event.
Azam has already been signed by Colombo Strikers of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) for this year’s event on Tuesday. Azam was one of the people who signed directly for the occasion before the auction began on June 11. The fourth LPL season will take place between July 31 to August 22. Hambantota, Colombo, and Kandy are most likely the three locations where the five-team competition will take place.
The other well-known player from Pakistan scheduled to compete is Fakhar Zaman. He will participate in the tournament with the Kandy Falcons, which will be his league debut. Additionally, listed as a foreign acquisition for Dambulla Aura is Matthew Wade. He will bat in the top order alongside Kusal Mendis as well as Avishka Fernando. David Miller and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who are scheduled to represent the Jaffna Kings and Kandy Falcons, respectively, are the other two prominent foreign players who have been confirmed.
