Delhi Capitals faced the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second game of the day as both teams were desperate for a win to make sure their campaign was on the right track. Sunrisers Hyderabad opted to bat on a turning wicket at the Arun Jaitley stadium.
Abhishek Sharma was at his blistering best again as he scored a crucial 67 runs off 36 balls which included 11 fours and one six. The batting side lost Mayank Aggarwal as well as Rahul Tripathi for less scores during the powerplay but formed a small partnership with skipper Aiden Markram.
But once Delhi dismissed the opposition skipper, they took another in the form of Harry Brook which meant they were in control. They dismissed the set batter Abhishek Sharma and everyone thought that the batting would collapse now. But Henrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad were still there as they were scoring boundaries at will. They made a valuable 53 run partnership which ensured that SRH reached a great total of 197 in their 20 overs

Delhi Capitals started on a bad note as they lost their most consistent batter and skipper David Warner. They needed a big partnership and the Mitchell Marsh and Phil Salt gave them just that.
They had a great partnership of 112 runs and the duo completed their fifties. It looked like the chase was in Delhi Capitals’ hands with wickets in hand. But the Sunrisers Hyderabad got back into the game with four wickets in a few overs time to turn the momentum in their favour.
Axar Patel and Ripal Patel were still on the crease with 3 overs left, the target was still chaseable. They needed 49 runs off 18 balls but Axar’s form meant Delhi was ahead. But at the end of the day, it was just too much for the batters to chase. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game over Delhi Capitals by 9 runs.
