A Twitter poll which featured Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan took the internet by storm. “Who is a bigger personality and achiever globally?” asked a Twitter user on March 28 in their Twitter poll. The options were: a) Shah Rukh Khan and b) Virat Kohli. A massive stir erupted between the fans before the results came out. The former Indian captain received 8.8% more votes than the Bollywood actor.
The two camps had a bitter feud over who is more special. The fans created a huge uproar on social media. When this happened, Kohli and Shah Rukh were trending big time on Twitter. The Twitter poll created the magic. The actor and the former India captain are distinct personalities in their own right. Shah Rukh had said in earlier interviews that he likes watching Kohli bat.

Kohli stepped down from the India captaincy after the 2021 20-20 World Cup debacle. Rohit Sharma took charge of the Indian Team in 2022. Since 2019, Kohli had a bad run of form across all forms of cricket. The big scores were not coming by. The star India batter turned it around in the 2022 Asia Cup. The rub of the green finally went Kohli’s way as he scored a century against Afghanistan.
He ended the tournament as the second-highest run-getter after Mohammad Rizwan. Then he carried the form into the 20-20 World Cup where he was India’s best batter. Kohli scored 296 runs in six innings. The Delhi batter had an average of 98.66 and a strike rate of 136.40. He scored four fifties in the tournament. His best innings came against Pakistan which happened in India’s first game against the arch-rivals.
Kohli did not have a good run in Tests until the recent Australia series. At Ahmedabad, on a wonderful batting pitch, he scored 186 and made his 28th Test century. India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India beat Australia 2-1. The Indian cricketers will now play in the Indian T20 League.
