‘Ab retire ho jao’ -Indian Women’s team poor fielding and batting show against Australia in 20-20 World Cup Semi-final draws criticism

Australia and India Women pitted against each other in the all-important semi-final clash at the 20-20 World Cup in South Africa. Australia won the toss and chose to bat. The Meg Lanning-led team got off to a great start with Alyssa Healy scoring 25 off 26 balls, with three fours. Australia hit the right notes straight away.
Beth Mooney showed why she was the best in the business by scoring 54 off 37 balls, with seven fours and one six. Meg Lanning made 49 off 34 balls, with four fours and two sixes to inflict further damage on India. The finishing touch was provided by Ashleigh Gardner, who made 31 off 18 balls with five fours. This allowed Australia to make 172-4 in their 20 overs. The lone bright spot with the ball for the Women in Blue was Shikha Pandey, who picked up 2-32 in her four overs.

India were in trouble at 28-3, but thanks to contributions from Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur who made 43 off 24 balls, with six fours, and 52 off 34 balls, with six fours and one six, respectively. In the end, India made 167-8 and lost by five runs. The catching was found wanting. Lanning was dropped once, and Richa Ghosh missed a stumping.
Mooney was also dropped once, and three additional misfields cost at least 10 extra runs. The field placement from India was not up to the mark. They had a below-par show in the field and the bowling did not deliver as it was expected to. If an inch is given to this Australian juggernaut, they will convert that into a mile and that is what they showed.
Australia made it to yet another World Cup final and India will look forward to rewriting history in another world event. Australia were good with the ball as well, with Gardner picking up 2-37 in her four overs, and Darcie Brown picked up 2-18 in her four overs. Jess Jonassen picked up 1-22 in her three-over spell.

is there anyone else who thought that girl Jemima was a bit overconfident?? I mean confidence should always be there but her body language was way too "not normal". And on top of that the way she got out was terrible.. should've just done it slowly rather trying to be hero
Healy also dropped Harman. It's on you to capitalize the chances. Lanning cashed in while our team just choked as usual and now giving unnecessary reasons. How is fielding related when u require 40 from 30 and ur designated finisher plays 17 balls and takes it to 10 of 1.
