It was always going to be difficult to chase down a total of 443 and a miracle did not happen as the Aussies won the game rather easily. India’s bowling lacked penetration, failing to match Australia’s disciplined display and the batting was disappointing, to say the least. Questions arose about team selection and fatigue from the IPL, but ultimately, Australia were the more clinical team, deserving champions on English soil. Though a bitter pill to swallow, India’s journey to the final showcased their Test prowess, leaving fans hopeful for future glory.
