4) Sanath Jayasuriya  

Sanath Jayasuriya, the big burly left-hander from Sri Lanka, has made 13430 runs from 433 ODI innings. He had a long career that went from 1989 until 2011. He had an excellent strike rate of  91.20 and an average of 32.36 in the format. The left-hander smashed 28 hundreds and 68 fifties in ODIs.

Jayasuriya was one of the main architects of Sri Lanka’s ODI World Cup win in 1996. He was famous for revolutionising batting then. He made 221 runs in the 1996 World Cup from six games. The veteran cricketer got the runs at an average of 36.83 and a strike rate of 131.54 in the tournament. He also picked up 323     s in ODI cricket.
