The Belgian player bid adieu to the game in the year 2007 having cliched 34 WTA singles titles in her short career. She battled pain and injuries and she tried to stay at the pinnacle but it harmed her.
Clijsters is an all-court player who employed a mixture of offensive and defensive styles of play. Clijsters often picked up points with her signature shot, a stretched-out wide forehand, also known as a squash shot.
