Keith Fletcher was the second batter from England to score a hundred in the ODI World Cup. In the group stage match against New Zealand, Keith scored a fabulous hundred in Nottingham. Batting first, England scored 266 runs in their 60 overs. Fletcher himself scored 131 runs in 147 balls, which included 13 boundaries. New Zealand managed to score only 186 runs in their 60 overs. England won the match comfortably by 80 runs. It was the highest individual score in the tournament by a non-opener.
