Ruturaj Gaikwad has been performing consistently for his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) over the past few years. The 2021 Orange Cap winner amassed 590 runs in 16 matches at an average of 42.14 at a strike rate of 147.50 in the IPL 2023 and played a vital role in CSK’s fifth title win.

Apart from IPL, Gaikwad – the captain of Pune-based franchise Puneri Bappa – is doing well in the ongoing Maharashtra Premier League. The 26-year-old was also included in the Test and ODI squads for the West Indies series. If he gets a chance in the starting XI and shines in the Caribbean tour, he can certainly be a strong contender for a place in the ODI World Cup.
