The elegant left-handed opener, Abhimanyu Easwaran, who plays for Bengal, has been a rock in domestic cricket for a long time now. He has featured in 99=3 first-class games and averages 46.29, with 22 centuries and 29 fifties. Easwaran has been particularly dominant in the Ranji Trophy, where he has churned out runs for fun, season after season. Despite his consistent performances, a Test cap has eluded him. He has earned call-ups to the Test side on a couple of occasions, but when the team needed new openers, others were preferred.
