Rishabh Pant has been hard at work at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. A recent video of him walking up the stairs has gone viral. In the video, Pant could be seen walking up and down the stairs and was seen doing exercises as well that involved strengthening. Pant had met with a near fatal accident while travelling from New Delhi to Roorkee. He required surgery on his knees after the accident.

The left-hander has starred in 30 ODI matches and scored 865 runs at an average of 34.60 and at a strike rate of 106.65. He will be a big miss for India in the upcoming ODI World Cup that will be held at home. His prowess in the middle order will be missed and also his glovework behind the stumps. Pant has been a match winner for India particularly in Test cricket. In red ball cricket. Pant has scored tons in Australia and England.

Australia beat India in the World Test Championship final by 209 runs

In test cricket, Pant has scored 2271 runs in 33 matches at an average of 43.67 and at a strike rate of 73.63. He has scored 11 fifties and five hundreds in the longest format of the game. He has a highest score of 159. Pant played a Test series against Bangladesh in 2022 before he had met with the horrific car accident. Pant has been the main man for India for a long time and his keeping has improved leaps and bounds across formats for India as well.

India lost the World Test Championship final against Australia which was held at the Oval between 7 to 11 June. Australia took control of the match from  India after the Men in Blue had reduced the Kangaroos to 76-3. Steve Smith and Travis Head had a match defining 285-run partnership that steamrolled the Indian bowlers.

India did not perform to their potential in the first innings and were bowled out for 296. This gave the Kangaroos a 173 run lead which was gold dust. Australia declared in the second innings at 207-8 and asked India to chase down a stiff target of 444. India crumbled in the second innings to 234 which gave Australia a 209-run win.
